We’re all unique and special, but some of us are more special than others because they have a special feature that makes they stand out. Some are really really short and small, but their heart is bigger than most. Others, are extremely thin, and amaze us with their fast metabolism.
The world is full of extreme people, who simply amaze others with their special bodies. We’ve put together an amazing collection of extreme humans: including the tallest, thinnest, largest or people who’s bodies are totally out of the ordinary. Have a look and see how surprising the human body is when it goes to extremes.



Lets start with tallness… Be amazed of some of the tallest people on Earth

How does it feel to be so tall? You must be a very good basketball player… these are just two of the statements tall people hear very often. But what would the tallest person alive answer to that?
Tallest Man Ever: Robert Wadlow


Robert Wadlow lived in Alton, Illinois until his premature departure at the age of 22. He is the tallest man ever, whose height is proved by indisputable evidence. Due to his extraordinary height, people called him the Alton Giant.
How tall was he? Records show that he was 8 feet and 11 inches tall, or 274 centimeters, and what’s even more amazing, is the fact that even though people his age would normally stop growing, Robert would have still grown taller if not for his untimely death. The cause of his incredible height was a problem in his pituitary gland, which secrets more growth hormones than normal, causing a disease known as gigantism.

Tallest Woman Ever: Trijntje Keever

Trijntje Cornelisdochter Keever only lived 17 years, after being born in the year 1616. While she lived she was dubbed De Groote Meid (the English translation would be The Big Girl), due to the fact that she was a giant even at 9 years old.
Her unusual tallness even amazed Frederick V, King of Bohemia who paid her a visit so that he could see for himself, the little girl who was already taller than every man throughout Europe.

She was 6 feet and 7 inches tall at the age of nine, and 8 feet 4 inches (2,54 meters) when she died of cancer in 1633. Her feet were also extremely big, her original shoes are on display in a museum in Amsterdam, her shoe size: 36 cm or 14 inches long (European size: 56) Pretty amazing, wouldn’t you agree?

Tallest man alive: Sultan Kosen

Meet Sultan Kosen from Mardin, Turkey. He was born in 1983 and he holds the record for the tallest man alive, with a height of 8 ft 3 in (2.51 meters), overtaking the former record holder, Bao Xishun who stands 2.36 m tall. Not only is he the record holder for the tallest living man, but he also has the largest hands on Earth: 27.5 centimeters.

He seems to be very happy with his life, declaring that his height is a major advantage when it comes to changing the light bulbs, or hanging the curtains…

Tallest Woman Alive: Yao Defen

Yao Defen holds the record for the tallest woman alive. She was born in 1972, in china and she’s 7 ft 8 in tall (2.33 m). Along with great height also comes big weight, but Yao isn’t worried about her 200 kilograms (440 lbs), she’s more scared about the fact that her favorite shoes don’t come in her size: 26 (UK) / 78 (EU).

Just like the other giants we’ve mentioned, the tallest woman alive has these amazing dimensions doe to a abnormal secretion of growth hormones, in Yao’s case, a tumor on her pituitary gland is secreting too much somatotropic hormone.

Now that we’ve dealt with the giants, let’s have a look at some of the shortest humans ever!

Shortest man ever: Gul Mohammed

Gul Mohammed is the shorts adult human being that ever lived! He was just 1 foot 10.4 inches (57 cm) tall when he was examined in 1990 at a hospital in New Delhi. Mohammed died in 1997 at the age of 40 due to lung problems brought on by his excessive smoking.

Not only was he the shortest man ever, but he was also the lightest adult, weighting 37.5 lbs (17.0 kg).

World’s Smallest Living Woman: Jvoti Amge

The smallest living woman also comes from India, her name is Jvoti Amge and she stands just 62.8 centimeters, and weights 12 pounds. Her restricted height is caused by a medical condition known as achondroplasia, a disorder which causes dwarfism.



Now that height is out of the way, let’s have a look at some amazing extremes as far as weight is concerned:

Heaviest baby ever born:

The heaviest baby to ever be born weighted 23 pounds and 12 ounces, but unfortunately died just 11 hours after being born. Anna Bates, his mother, was also an extreme human, with a height of 7ft 5in.

The heaviest newborn who survived, came to this earth in Indonesia and his size is also pretty amazing: 19lbs (8.7kgs), 62cms (24.4ins). You can read more about him here.

The lightest baby ever born: Amillia Taylor

This is how Amillia Taylor looked when she was born at just 21 weeks of gestational age and just nine-and-a-half inches long. She weighed 10 ounces, and it is a real miracle that she survived. All of the odds were against her, but this incredible baby pulled through and is now alive and well. Amelia was born two weeks before the legal abortion limit and she is the worlds youngest newborn who actually survived. Her story is pretty amazing! It teaches us that miracles do happen if we still have hope.

Heaviest man to have ever lived: Jon Brower Minnoch

Jon Brower Minnoch has one of the most amazing weight loss stories ever. Not only is he the heaviest person who ever lived, but also, he has the most spectacular weight loss. Jon was born in 1941 and at his peek, he weighted 635 kilograms or 1397 pounds. That amazing record demanded hospitalization, and after a strict and sever diet, he managed to lose 419 kg (66 lbs) in 16 months. When he died in 1983, he weighted 362 kilograms.

Heaviest woman ever: Rosalie Bradford

Rosalie (1943 – 2006) holds the world record for the most weight ever lost by a woman. In 1987 she weighed 1,199 lbs, and was immobilized in bed for 3 years. Her astonishing size determined her to lose the extra pounds, and through a strict diet, she lost 200 pounds. Unfortunately, as a complication to one of her excess skin removal surgeries, she caught an infection that slowly killed her.

Man with the Longest Tongue: Stephen Taylor

The longest human tongue ever recorded is that of British citizen Stephen. His extraordinary body part measures 9.8 centimeters (3.86 inches).

The woman with the longest tongue: Chanel Tapper

As of 2012, Chanel Tapper holds the Guinness World Record for the woman with the longest tongue, which by the way measures 3.8 inches (9.75 cm) from tip to top lip. Prior to her record, Annika Irmler held the record at 7 centimeters (2.76 in).



World’s Longest Nose Mehmet Ozyurek

Mehmet Ozyurek from Turkey has been confirmed as the man with the largest nose on Earth. His nose measures 3.5 inches (8.8 cm).

The biggest chin in world

Chang Du is the man with the biggest chin in the world. He’s 47 years old, lives in China, and his chin keeps on growing at an amazing size. It all started five years ago when Chang noticed a tiny pimple inside his mouth. The pimple started to grow, and eventually ended up swelling his chin to unimaginable sizes. Unfortunately, this man needs surgery due to the excruciating pain he feels when eating and drinking, but he can not afford the costs. So, in order to raise the 5000 euros, he offered to sell advertising space on his chin. Pretty incentive, isn’t he?

Woman With Longest Legs In World

Svetlana Pankratova, a beautiful Russian woman holds the record for the world’s longest legs! Even though she’s not the tallest woman, she does have the longest legs, which measure 132 centimetres (or 4 ft 4 in). Her upper body makes up for her amazing legs, hence, she is just 196 centimetres (6 ft 5 in) tall. Also, her feet are huge, Svetlana has to wear custom shoes, made especially for her size: 13 (US) / 46 (EU).

Man with the Longest Reproductive Organ

Jonah Falcon, is an American writer and actor, but since 1999, he is know for the length of his reproductive organ which measures 9.5 inches (24 cm) in length when flaccid and 13.5 inches (34 cm) in length when erect.
